  • The Fair Credit Reporting Act - The FCRA is designed to protect the privacy of consumer report information and to guarantee that the information supplied by consumer reporting agencies (CRAs) is as accurate as possible.
  • Employer Requirements Under the Fair Credit Report Act (FCRA) - Prior to receiving a consumer report, an employer must certify to the CRA in writing that it will perform several tasks.

  • FTC Document Destruction Rules - This regulation requires employers to take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized use of, or access to, consumer information during the disposal process.
